The Plan has been developed to ensure existing levels of service are maintained across the area as well as achieving an ambitious schedule of infrastructure projects. Council remains committed to reducing the infrastructure back-log.

Come to a public meeting to hear about the activities and initiatives included in the draft Operational Plan along with an overview of the associated budget.

The closing date for submissions is 26 May 2017

What happens next?

All submissions received will be collated into a report. Council will consider the report at a meeting and take the community’s wishes into account where possible when deciding whether to adopt the changes without amendment, with amendment or not to adopt them. Everyone who provides their name and email address as part of the submission process will be contacted with the date of that Council meeting.

The Operational Plan and Budget will be implemented once it is finalised and adopted by Council.


  • Council adopts the 2017/18 Operational Plan and Budget

    Council considered a report, including the community's feedback, at a meeting on 27 June 2017. It was determined that Council:

    • adopts the Operational Plan and Budget 2017/18 subject to minor amends
    • makes and levy the Rates for 2017/18 as contained in accordance with section 405 of the Local Government Act 1993;
    • adopts the rate of 7.5% as the interest rate to apply on outstanding rates, in accordance with section 566(3) of the Local Government Act 1993; and
    • adopts the Schedule of Fees and Charges, annexed to the Operational Plan 2017/18 noting the changes to Fees and Charges made since on... Continue reading
